So I have no idea who reads my page anymore, I almost never update. I just about use LJ only for RSS and a select few blogs.
But it's time for a real post!
My parents moved to the cape back in october, and I moved onto Mason street in Salem with this guy Jimmy. I got a full-time job at Harrison's, and I really enjoy working there. Yay!
Best of all I met someone through Harrison's. :D Whoduhthunkit?
I like where i live, love where I work, and met someone amazing. Life is wacky.
That is all. |

| Mica: worst mineral ever. |
|

I learned many things on my canoe trip.
1) I SUCK at being prepared. I didn't have a tent, nor enough non-dried food. What happens? It rains, and I get a stomach ache from jerky and trail mix.
2) It's always raining in Maine. Always. It rained from about 7pm the first night until 10am the next morning. It was still awesome, but I would have had more fun if it wasn't pouring out the whole time.
3) I should do more shit like this.
4) Mica is like the herpes of minerals (not unlike glitter!). Once you get it, it never goes away. Ugh. Everything is covered in little shiny flakes. |

This is the most puzzling hangover. Ever.
I hung out with Dan, Brian, Francis, Brandon, and Ken last night. I had like 7ish beers and some vodka.
And today I want to kill myself. I don't get it! I didn't drink that much, and I never get hungover. I think vodka just FUCKS ME UP. That or Harpoon puts some sort of devil juice in their beer.
I've been holding down vomit for like 2 hours now. The only thing stopping me, besides embarrassment, is the fact that there is water in my stomach, and I need that. |

"LOS ANGELES - Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital Sunday, a spokesman said. He was was 71.
Carlin, who had a history of heart problems, died at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica about 6 p.m. PT after being admitted earlier in the afternoon for chest pains, spokesman Jeff Abraham told Reuters. "

| You Are an Orange | You have a zest for life, especially for anything colorful, wild, or dramatic. You have a unique take on the world, and you're not afraid to be a little funky.
You are a bit reserved toward people who don't know you well. You have a thick skin, which can protect you from anything that goes wrong in your life.
Once someone does get to know you, they totally get and appreciate you. Your friends see you as a bright person with a refreshing take on life. |

So I saw I Am Legend on friday. It was better than I thought, but seriously, what's with the CGI? 28 Days Later had crazy, aggressive, scary zombie-like people without any CGI. Meh. That's my only complaint.
But the real movie of the weekend is Juno. That movie was so incredibly good, I recommend you all go see it. Right now. Yeah, you, eating at your computer like a slob -- put down the hoagie and go see this movie. |

Friday was shopping day in Boston with J, Ryan, and Lex. We went to this vegan restaurant called The Grasshopper. It was good, sort of fast food-ish, but it was yummy. Then we visited Megan at her work in... Arlington? I think. After that we went to a huge Newbury Comics; I got some things, including the Guinea Pig/Ginnipigu films in a DVD box set XDDD. After a few hours of wandering around Newbury Street, we went home. Watching Guinea Pig Films + eating Denny's = NO.
I went to see Beowulf with Megan, J, and Ryan on Saturday. It was an okay movie, it didn't disappoint but it certainly isn't winning any awards haha. At least they kept Beowulf a drunken egomaniac and didn't glorify him THAT much.
On Sunday I went into Boston to see Nekromantix at Harper's Ferry. Kathryn had got me a ticket like a month ago and I had completely forgotten about it, so it was a nice surprise, heh. Sasquatch was good, as usual. One of the other band's had their van break down like 60 miles out, so there was only 3 bands, and the 2nd band (Koffin Kats) was REALLY bad. uggghh. Terrible. I ended up outside or at the other bar for half their set.
The Nekromantix were awesome, but the sound sucked for like 75% of the set. Fucking Harper's Ferry. And oh man, Nekroman is old.
Kathryn and I had to left halfway through the last song to catch a subway, but whatever. I still had fun. |

sooo Guitar Hero 3 is awesome so far. A LOT more chords, especially 3-finger chords.
Songs I haven't beaten so far (on expert, dur) Dragonforce (that isn't happening for awhile, harder than Jordan so far and that took forever to figure out) Rain in Blood (the trilling in that song always fucks me up. I hate pull-offs...) One (just the solo, the rest of the song is beyond easy... again, another VERY fast trilling solo)
Songs I have 5-starred that are worth mentioning: Number of the Beast Cliffs of Dover Cult of Personality Knights of Cydonia every song between 1-6 tier, and every bonus song minus a few, and the obvious Dragonforce one.
I am about to start practicing Dragonforce soon. After I figure out the solo to One and get my pull-offs down on Slayer, I'll get into it. I saw a bunch of vids on youtube about how to do the harder parts-- I got the intro down pretty good... I still fuck up, but I can do it on a bit slower tempo with both hands on the fret-board with very few mistakes. God help me with the solos though hahaahha |

You're Canada!
People make fun of you a lot, but they're stupid because you've got a much better life than they do. In fact, they're probably just jealous. You believe in crazy things like human rights and health care and not dying in the streets, and you end up securing these rights for yourself and others. If it weren't for your weird affection for ice hockey, you'd be the perfect person.

Everyone is doing it, so why don't you?

You are The Magician
Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.
Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing, you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.
The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

If I ever become a professor (which I sure fucking hope), I plan on doing at least 20 of these: http://monster-island.org/tinashumor/humor/profs.html
Is it strange that I play "puh diddle" while alone and not in a car?
So the last few days have been okay. Saw Letters From Iwo Jima. It was amazing. Watch it. Now.
Today I hung out with Shanon for a little bit. We went to McDonald's. Nothing really to report there.
Ummm saturday there is a party I am invited to, so that should be interesting.
Wednesday was Megan's 21st. HOORAY MEGAN.
I'm bored.
I sent a sentence into onesentence.org the other week and its now there. Nice. And no, its not the obvious one.
Ummm... I have been writing more. reading less though.
Been visiting Ashley at work too, cuz I'm bored and restless and its the only place to go at 2am XD
Bedtime soon. Weeks almost over. Sweet deal. |
